Chairman, GGAWB e.V.
Stefan Gowitzke is Commercial Director DACH at SULO Deutschland GmbH and is responsible for the strategic development of the markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He stands for growth, innovation and the further development of sustainable solutions in the waste and recycling industry.
As Chairman of GGAWB e.V., he regards RAL GZ 951/1 as a binding quality and assurance system for the sector. His goal is to safeguard clear standards, strengthen transparency in the market and position the quality association as an active driver of the circular economy.
Meet our 2nd Vice Chairman: Frank Fleischmann
Frank Fleischmann, born in 1965, began his career with an apprenticeship as a skilled machinist and mechanic. He went on to earn a Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) degree in Plastics Technology from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
Over the course of more than 30 years, he has gained extensive professional and leadership experience in management and plant management, Production Excellence, project management, product management, ramp-up management and costing, Key Account Management, Business Development and Sales, Quality Management, as well as proven success in Performance, Change, and Shop Floor Management.
In addition to his commitment to the GGAWB e.V., Frank Fleischmann most recently served as Plant Manager and Authorized Officer (Prokurist) at ESE GmbH. In this role, he was responsible for injection molding production, assembly, logistics, warehousing, purchasing, production planning and control, ramp-up management, process engineering, and maintenance, with personnel responsibility for approximately 240 employees.
Previously, he spent four years as head of the plant at Hanwha Advanced Materials Germany GmbH, where he drove the reorganization of manufacturing in injection molding, thermoforming, and non-woven production lines. He also played a key role in advancing Shop Floor Management, Lean and Continuous Improvement processes, the implementation of automotive standards, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
As 2nd Vice Chairman of the GGAWB e.V., Frank Fleischmann aims to contribute his many years of industry and production expertise to help guide the association through the ongoing transformation of the sector, positioning it for the future and providing new impetus for a sustainable and high-quality waste management industry.

Publication of the revised Quality Assurance for Plastic Containers for Waste and Recycling Materials, RAL-GZ 951/1 after successful completion of the procedure to extend the quality and test specifications with an annex
The quality and safety of waste and recycling containers made of plastic is regulated within the framework of RAL-GZ 951/1 via product standards, dimensions and tolerances, volume specifications, their useful mass and serviceability tests, as well as design specifications.
The Quality Control Association has made it its task not only to increase the quality of these products beyond the legal and normative framework, but also to ensure the quality of company-specific services, social components andaspects relevant to sustainability and the environment.
We are pleased to inform you about the successful completion of the extension procedure for the implementation of an annex to the RAL-GZ 951/1 quality assurance.

Award of the quality label for RAL Quality Assurance according to R-GZ 951/
Application may be made for the award of the RAL quality label for waste and recyclables containers (AWB) with respect either to new sets of tools or to sets already available on the market.
The testing and certification procedure is the same for all AWB.
